Ingredients:
- For the Patties:
- 1 lb (450 g) ground beef (80/20 for juiciness)
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/4 tsp smoked paprika
- For the Toppings:
- 4 slices of sharp cheddar cheese
- 1 large onion, caramelized
- 4 slices of crispy bacon
- 4 butter-toasted brioche buns
- Fresh lettuce leaves
- 4 slices of ripe tomato
- 4 tbsp of homemade burger sauce (mix mayo, ketchup, and a touch of mustard with a pinch of paprika)
- Pickles (optional)
Instructions:
- Prepare the Patties:
Mix the ground beef with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and smoked paprika. Shape into 4 evenly sized patties. Press a slight indent in the middle to prevent puffing during cooking. - Cook the Patties:
Heat a skillet or grill to medium-high heat. Cook the patties for 3-4 minutes per side for medium doneness, adding a slice of cheddar cheese on top during the last minute of cooking. - Toast the Buns:
Spread a little butter on the brioche buns and toast them in a skillet until golden. - Assemble the Burger:
On the bottom bun, spread a layer of burger sauce. Add lettuce, tomato, the cheesy patty, bacon, caramelized onions, and pickles (if desired). Top with the other half of the bun. - Serve:
Pair with crispy fries or a side salad for a complete meal. Enjoy the burst of flavors in every bite!
