A Note from the Delivery Guy Made Me Install Security Cameras around My House – I’ll Forever Be Grateful to Him

I usually order food when I’m too tired to cook for my kids. Ravi, our regular delivery guy, always greeted Kai and Isla with high-fives. But last Tuesday, he seemed different—anxious, silent. He handed me the food and rushed off.

Puzzled, I noticed shaky writing on the bag: “CHECK YOUR TRASH CAN.”

I sent the kids inside and ran to the backyard. The first bin was normal. The second made my blood run cold—gloves, tools, and a bottle of unlabeled liquid. I called the sheriff immediately.

That night, Deputy Leona confirmed it: the liquid was a corrosive used to weaken locks. My house was a target. Thanks to Ravi’s warning, we’d likely avoided a break-in.

The next morning, I begged a security company for immediate help. They arrived just before Leona returned with grim news. The items matched recent break-in attempts.

Then I saw Ravi. Nervously, he confessed—he’d seen men tampering with my trash and feared they were watching. Too scared to knock, he left a note instead.

He may have saved our lives.

Now, with cameras installed and patrols circling, I still can’t sleep. But I’m no longer helpless—because sometimes, the quietest warnings come from the bravest hearts.
